Haven the Dog is visiting the clinic today

animal therapy

Hear ye, hear ye! Today is Therapy Dog Tuesday! Haven, a four-and-½-year-old Doberman Pinscher, will be stopping by at 11am to spread some sunshine.

Haven’s a special soul. She’s deaf (but doesn’t know it). Haven’s here to cheer up patients at my clinic, Neurology Specialists of the Rockies, along with Cheyenne Radiology Group — located in the same building.

Alliance of Therapy Dogs

Haven’s human handler/best friend is Billie Smith, Executive Director from the Alliance of Therapy Dogs. Thank you, Billie, for volunteering your time and kindness to bring smiles and joy to our patients, families, caregivers, and staff.

Therapy dog: Miss Wigglesworth, in deep thoughtThis little lady, Miss Wigglesworth, will be visiting the office in the near future. Are you ready to pet her?

I’m adding animal therapy to my practice, to give my patients an extra boost of sunshine.

Pet therapy offers emotional, cognitive, and social benefits for individuals coping with neurological challenges.

The next time you call the office at (307) 432-3924 to schedule an appointment, feel free to request a visit from one of our therapy dogs. We’ll do our best to accommodate you.
