Triple T Haven: a healing place for trauma survivors

animal therapy, local business, trauma

Located in Ault, Colorado, Triple T Haven is a healing place for trauma survivors. It’s a unique setting where patients ground, regroup, and reset their brains by way of animal-assisted therapy in a farm environment.

Oftentimes, modern medicine can be cold, sterile, and uninviting. At TTH, you’ll find the opposite. The welcoming medical offices of TTH connect to an indoor horse arena. Instead of isolation, patients become part of the herd.

Step outside the building and you’re in the ever-so-safe, nature-filled great wide open, with the Rocky Mountains on the horizon. Truly healing.

An easy way to support TTH (and perhaps get some holiday shopping out of the way) is by supporting a wonderful local biz which sells natural products and gifts: Backwoods Forward. A percentage of their profits are donated to TTH.

Backwoods Forward is a Colorado-based, woman-owned company. Their motto is: We bring forth great goods. Yep, they do.

Thank you to clinician/psychiatric nurse Shiela Ash for turning her farm into an unconventional medical office, and for inviting patients and practitioners into the special space.
